Savannah works in a publishing house where fun is not allowed. Well… maybe it isn’t that bad, but her publisher is known for pumping out non-fiction books that are “higher class” than what Savannah has always wanted to write--romance. When Claire Donovan, editor at the most successful romance publishing house in the country asks to see her manuscript, Savannah does everything she can to make it perfect, which means working on it through the staff meeting that includes to new boss-man, who also happens to be the son of the CEO, William Pennington.
When Savannah drops her manuscript, she nearly reveals her secret to the whole company, including William. She races out of the room to her secret room inside of the ARC room. A few days later, she discovers that someone else has been spending time in her secret little room, and they have been making notes in the margins of her manuscript!
At first, she disagrees completely with the notes in the margins, there’s no way that the mystery person could be right, but as time goes on, she begins to see just how incredibly insightful the notes are.
As Savannah gets to know her mystery editor through the notes in the margins, she starts to fall for them, she just wasn’t expecting to fall in love in person too.
Meet me in the Margins is a super sweet, romantic book that makes you want to punch the main character half the time for not realizing what is actually happening to her sooner. I truly loved Savannah’s character, but geez, this girl was struggling through the book.
William’s character was dreamy and grumpy and everything in between. I loved the way that Melissa was able to show that William knew what was happening even when Savannah didn’t. William’s true love and care for Savannah was one of my favorite parts of this story.
